Want to pick my brain about YOUR college plan (even if you don’t have one)? Which of these questions are keeping you up at night, burning in your esophagus?
- How much will college actually cost me?
- Can I do anything to qualify for scholarships or grants?
- Can my kid even get into a good school?
- I’m overwhelmed, I don’t even know what questions to ask!!!! (Technically not a question, but let’s not split hairs.)
I invite you to schedule a College Strategy Session. ™ During this 30 minute conference call, you can fire away any or all of the above questions, or whatever else you need answers to.
In all likelihood, I will have a bunch of my own questions, so as to give you the best strategic advice I can possibly give.
No punches pulled
WARNING: I will be candid, even blunt. This means that I may not tell you what you were hoping to hear. (Example: I may suggest that your B+ student look elsewhere in addition to Harvard and Yale, just in case he doesn’t get in on charm alone.)
However, you have my promise to give you the best, unbiased advice on how to get in, how to get scholarships and other financial aid, etc. that I can, based on my 15 plus years advising families with college-bound teens. My only agenda is to give you the most effective advice I’m capable of giving. Sometimes I will confirm the path you are thinking about going down, other times, I will suggest alternatives that you had not considered. My goal is to give you a clear path of action, and cut out the noise and clutter that can overwhelm parents of college bound teens (not to mention the teens themselves!).
No hassles, no hard feelings *Unconditional Guarantee*
I charge a nominal amount for these consultations, but there is zero risk to you. At the end of our call, if you feel that you did not get your money’s worth, just say so, and we will promptly and cheerfully refund your fee. No small print, no lawyerly “weasel clauses.” You are sole judge and jury. I can’t make it any more simple.
First come, first served
From 11-2 each Monday, we block out a maximum of six slots for College Strategy Sessions, depending on the time of year. You will get automatic access to my calendar after you enroll.
Why isn’t this free?
In the old days, I used to offer one-hour, face to face consultations. I found myself stuck at the office at night, waiting on prospective clients who were running late. Occasionally, they no-showed.
Many “prospective clients” just wanted to pick my brain. They were not genuinely interested in retaining us, which of course is perfectly OK. But it’s not how I wanted to spend my nights away from my family.
One night, Pearl said to me, You know, you give out plenty of free information at your workshops and webinars, why should you keep giving it away? (Disclaimer: I sanitized her actual language, I’m trying to keep this website appropriate for everyone.)
She was right. (Again).
I charge a nominal fee because, even a casual comment can create a windfall totaling thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars by way of scholarships and financial aid, or help getting into a top college. I’ve seen it time and again, and my clients have told me the same thing for years.
Another, important reason: I want to attract people who value professional advice, not “looky-loos” who want something for nothing, or a captive audience for them to brag about their kid. (See, I told you I was blunt.)
Don’t get me wrong, this is a standalone conversation, there is no pressure to retain us. If I think you would benefit from one or more of our services, I will let you know, of course. But if you want to handle things on your own, that is perfectly alright too.
If you feel as though the College Strategy Session is right for you, you can book it here. After you enroll, you will be taken automatically to my online calendar to schedule our College Strategy Session conference call.
Thank you for your interest in our services!
