College Success Bulletin Breaking News
The Common Application Board of Directors announced NEW essay topics for the 2013 Common Application, officially available August 1, 2013.
Notably absent: the “Write Whatever You Want” choice, which saddens me, as this was the best topic for students to express their creativity, in my humble opinion.

If you’re a high school junior, it’s too early to think seriously about your essays (I’m writing this in February 2013).
But it is NOT too early to think about what colleges you should consider, what extra-curricular activities you should engage in, what classes to take, what to do over the summer and what to have for lunch.
I’m interviewing Juniors (Class of 2014) now to see if I can help them with each of the above topics, and related ones. Contact the office to schedule a complimentary 20 minute phone consultation so we see if each other is a good fit: 516.882.5464 or firstname.lastname@example.org

P.S. I limit the number of students I take on each month so I can devote the requisite time to each client, which ain’t always easy. Interview slots are given first-come, first served – five are currently available.
